Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

This policy explains how Energy Siren handles personal data. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect#

Newsletter subscribers. Your email address, the date you subscribed and whether you confirmed it. We use it to send the briefing you asked for and nothing else.

Site analytics. Aggregate information about pages viewed and how people arrive at the site. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not build advertising profiles of readers.

Correspondence. If you write to the desk, we keep your message and our reply.

What we do not do#

We do not sell personal data. We do not share subscriber lists with advertisers. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies#

The site uses a small number of functional storage items, including one that remembers whether you chose light or dark appearance. These stay in your browser and are not transmitted to us.

Your rights#

You can ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you email. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe. For anything else, write to the desk and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Retention#

Subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept while it remains relevant to our reporting obligations.

Changes#

If this policy changes materially we will note the date at the top and, for significant changes affecting subscribers, say so in the newsletter.
